Bespoke Planting design
Sarah will work with you to design a planting scheme which you will love and (most importantly) which is suited to the light and soil conditions in your garden. We will discuss your favourite plant and flower colours, ways of incorporating different plant textures into your new scheme and how to ensure that your new planting provides interest and brings joy throughout the year. We will also consider which of your existing plants you would like to keep and whether there are any which just don’t bring you joy anymore and really need to go.
Once Sarah has designed your new planting scheme, we can advise you on any preparation work which is needed (for example, soil improvement) and we can supply the new plants if you wish. We personally selects plants from our network of local growers and nurseries, who can be relied upon to provide good quality specimens. Sarah can oversee the planting of your garden and can also prepare an easy to understand Garden Maintenance Guide to help you to care for your new plants. Alternatively we can introduce you to trusted local maintenance gardeners, who can look after the garden for you.
One-off garden CONSULTATIONs
Our one-off garden consultations are ideal for those clients who don’t need a full garden design but who would like a new perspective on ways to improve their garden. With the benefit of 20 years garden design experience and a wealth of industry contacts, Sarah can guide you on topics such as:-
The cost of making changes to your garden and how to spend your budget wisely,
Garden layout ideas and tweaks,
Material choices and supplier suggestions,
How to make changes to your garden in a conservation area,
Plants suitable for your garden for greater interest and joy throughout the year.
For a one-off garden consultation, Sarah will visit you for 1 -1.5 hours and after the visit will send you a short email to confirm the points discussed during the visit, such as details of suppliers or possible plants. The fee for a one-off consultation is £295, inclusive of travel within 30 minutes drive of Sarah’s north London office. If you live further away, do drop us an email and we will see what we can do.

Our clients in Hampstead Garden Suburb wanted a stylish contemporary garden for family entertaining. Cool, grey granite paving is used throughout to create dining and seating spaces which are contrasted with a wide iroko decking platform. The garden is planted with soft purple, blue and white flowers, evergreen trees and lush, exotic planting which will give interest all year round.
