you may be wondering…
-
This will depend on the size of your garden and how much new planting you would like. Would you like to fill in the gaps in your beds and borders or start from scratch with a completely new planting scheme? It would be helpful if you could send Sarah some photos of your garden and a brief description of the changes you would like to make. We will then be able to give you an estimate of how much the planting design will cost.
-
If you would like the full planting design service, it would be helpful if you could prepare by finding photographs of plants which you like (Pinterest is a great resource for this) and also deciding which plants you would like to keep in your existing garden.
-
Sarah will aim to help you in whichever areas you need. For example:-
Suggestions of hard landscaping materials for your garden,
How to improve the soil in your garden,
Planting for shady planting beds,
Planting for sunny planting beds,
Plants to fill in the gaps in an existing planting scheme,
Low maintenance planting,
How to create a garden which is interesting throughout the year.
Please get in touch if there are other areas on which you would like advice and we will let you know whether we can help in a one-off consultation.

It would be helpful if your could send Sarah some photos of your garden a few days prior to her visit and a brief outline of the sort of advice you would like.
-
Included in your fee is an email summary of the points discussed, such as suggested plants, materials and possible suppliers. If you feel that you still need help, you are welcome to book another consultation.
-
In order to specialise in planting design and help those clients who would like to improve the soft landscaping in their garden, Sarah no longer creates full designs for hard landscaping (such as patios and paving). However she is happy to have one-off consultations with clients who would like some pointers as to the best hard landscaping materials to use and where to source these.
-
We don’t carry out hard landscaping work such as laying paving or erecting new fences. However, Sarah is happy to give advice on this in one-off consultations and to suggest the best ways of finding reputable tradesmen.
