This garden redesign in St Johns Wood complements the new glass extension to the property, whilst also being sympathetic to this listed town house. Set over several levels, the garden uses crisp, pale porcelain paving, combined with a more traditional clay brick. The planting scheme includes tree ferns and hydrangea in the shadier areas with olive trees, scented evergreen jasmine and climbing roses in the sunnier beds.
Our garden loving clients asked us to design a roof terrace for their chic Marylebone town house apartment. We created additional privacy using bespoke contemporary slatted screens to the rear of the garden. The use of light weight, lead look planters provide ample planting opportunities, without compromising the integrity of the roof structure. The Mediterranean style planting is wind and drought tolerant and thrives in this hot and sunny space.
This delightful walled garden in Belsize Park is generously proportioned and includes areas for both the adults to entertain and for the family children to play. Our planting design includes hellebores and banks of hydrangea in the shadier areas of the garden. The sunnier beds are planted with lavender, purple verbena and geranium, mixed with low grasses to create gentle movement and interest.
Following a complete house renovation, our clients asked us to redesign their long narrow, sloping garden. Our redesign breaks the space into a series of ‘rooms’ on different levels, which gradually lead you through the garden, from the dining area, up past the focal point water feature to the retaining gabions at the rear, ensuring that the whole garden is used. The borders were planted with a white flowering scheme of shrubs and perennials.
This roof top apartment boasts a large outdoor terrace, previously a little dated in style. We were enlisted to design a new roof garden terrace to complement the owners' impressive new extension. Porcelain tiled flooring is used both inside and out to blend the two spaces and light weight bespoke planters were commissioned for the new drought tolerant planting.
We redesigned this multi-level garden in order to make better use of the space for our clients. The extended patio dining area and kitchen blend with traditional style of their home, whilst having a contemporary edge. Frameless glass balustrades surrounding the terrace give an unbroken view to draw the family down to the mid terrace seating are, where they can enjoy cosy winter evenings around the central fire table.
This contemporary garden in west London was designed to be sympathetic to our client’s new modern extension. The two patio areas give space for relaxing and entertaining whilst the lawn area is small for easy maintenance. The grey tones of the granite paving and boundary screening provide an excellent backdrop for the planting scheme. This includes silver birch, olive and plants which flower in shades of blue, purple and white.
